and local municipalities, technical colleges, private and corporate
groups. Our courses are tailored to the specific audience and can
include hands on training. |
|
We
believe that an educated client is a satisfied client. Teaching
the practices of conservation, correct system sizing, state
of the art components and code compliant installation techniques
ensures that the clients will get extremely reliable systems.
Satisfied customers spread the word of the positive benefits
of solar electric. |

SolarWinds
NorthernLights has designed and built a state of the art mobile
solar educational trailer with a complete photovoltaic electric
system installed. The system can be either a stand-alone/batter
back-up or a utility intertie. |
|
|
|
The
solar electric system in the trailer can power a conventional
average sized energy efficient home, Including appliances
such as a refrigerator, washer/dryer, sensitive home office
computers, faxes, printers, security systems, tools, well
pumps, etc. |
|
The
SolarWinds NorthernLights solar trailer provides an excellent
hands-on teaching aid for students and professionals with
varying degrees of knowledge. Because the trailer has a complete
solar electric system installed, it enables students to understand
how UL listed components are configured. |
|
|
The
benefit to students is that they gain an in-depth understanding
of the power path of the photovoltaic system, as well as the theory
and practice of article 690 of the National Electric Code. Students
are encouraged to bring their screwdrivers and remove component
covers to investigate sound wiring and installation practices. This
mobile classroom has sparked many discussions on code issues and
installation techniques. |
